Duo land Singapore LNG jobs
South Korea's Samsung C&T Corporation and engineering giant Foster Wheeler have lined up work on Singapore's first liquefied natural gas terminal.
Switzerland-based Foster Wheeler will provide project management services for Singapore LNG, while Samsung has bagged the project's engineering, procurement and construction job.
The S$1.5 billion (US$1.05 billion) LNG terminal will have an initial capacity of 3.5 million tonnes per year, with provisions to expand it to 6 million tpy or more if needed.
The terminal will be on line by 2013.
Financial details of the contracts were not made public.
