Flagged up: PetroVietnam expects its output figures to dip in February
February crimps PetroVietnam figures
State-run Petrovietnam said its oil output will fall this month to 1.13 million tonnes (296,000 barrels per day), as February is a short month.
The Hanoi-based group laid out the crude oil target for the 28-day month after pumping 1.2 million tonnes (284,000 bpd) of crude oil in January, Reuters quoted the company as saying in a statement.
Natural gas output this month is also expected to fall to 620 million cubic metres from 770 MMcm last month, Petrovietnam said.
The group has already said it expects crude output for this year to fall about 6% to 15 million tonnes (301,000 bpd), due to ageing oilfields.
Vietnam produced 16.36 million tonnes of crude oil last year, up 9% from 2008. On average, its daily output stood at 329,000 bpd.
