BP carries out 'BOP brain surgery'
Crews start lowering 'Macondome' into Gulf
BP is carrying out surgery on the “brain” of the subsea blowout preventer
(BOP) it recovered yesterday, with plans to reinstall it in the hopes it
will provide accurate readings of the pressures inside the Macondo oil well
blowout in the deep-water Gulf of Mexico.
