Lundin contracted the ultra harsh environment jack-up rig Maersk Guardian for about 135 days to drill two wells in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea in the second half of 2012.
The second contract will see either the Maersk Guardian or Maersk Giant carry out subsea field development of the Brynhild field.
The rig will be used to drill three wells over a period of about 325 days and the contract includes two options for one well each.
A decision on which rig will be used on the contract will be declared by 1 January 2013 with work expected to commence between 1 March and 1 June that year.
