11 die in pipe blast in Colombia

Sabotage: Colombian state-run oil company says fuel thieves were to blame for pipeline explosion

An explosion has killed 11 people and injured 70 others at a pipeline run by Colombia's Ecopetrol.

The blast also destroyed 30 houses on the outskirts of Dosquebradas village in the Western region of Risaralda, Ecopetrol told Reuters.

The state-run oil company blamed the explosion on fuel thieves.

No further details were immediately available about the incident.
