Global set to spud probe in Colombia
UK-listed Global Energy Development expects to spud its first exploration well within the Los Hatos concession in Colombia by late August this year.
The Los Hatos-1 well is located updip and about 300 metres from the Cajaro-1 well in the Balo Blanco field that has produced about 328,000 barrels of oil since it was placed on production in June 2003.
Global said that it expects Los Hatos-1 to encounter a significantly larger oil zone than Cajaro-1. Which intersected 11 feet of oil pay.
