Woodside shuts Karratha plant

By Upstream staff

Australia's Woodside Petroleum said today it has shut production at the North West Shelf Venture's Karratha gas plant in Western Australia due to an electrical fault.

Operator Woodside said all personnel are safe and it is investigating the cause of the incident.

The company said that liquefied natural gas production will restart once domestic gas production has begun again. Woodside expects this to happen tomorrow.
