MOG takes Italian triple jump

By Upstream staff

London-based Mediterranean Oil & Gas (MOG) said today that its subsidiary Intergas Piu (IGP) has successfully perforated three new gas-bearing levels at Italy's Torrente Salsola gas field.

The company said that results of the work-over on the Torrente Salsola number 3 well have been positive, with gas tested at the surface on one level.

MOG said that, as predicted, permeability is low. Well productivity potential will be established once an effective clean up of the reservoirs is achieved.

It also said it is planning a work-over with fracture and stimulation on the Torrente Baganza gas field within the Monteardone concession.

IGP is a partner with 11% equity and Gas Plus Italiana is the operator of the concession. Operations are expected to begin by 15 December.
