Prosafe close to $332m floater job

By Upstream staff

Norwegian oilfield services group Prosafe said today it has been awarded a preliminary deal for the conversion and operation of a floating production, storage and offloading vessel worth $332 million over seven years.

"Should the (letter of intent) result in a contract, this would have a firm period of seven years plus options to extend the contract to up to 15 years," Prosafe said.

Prosafe did not confirm whether the contract was for Murphy Oil's Azurite project off Congo-Brazzaville.
