Petrofac wins Kashagan deal

UK-based Petrofac has been awarded a contract by Agip KCO for the construction management of the onshore facilities for the first phase of Kazakhstan's Kashagan development.

The deal includes the main works contract for the processing units, power generation and utilities, tanks and offsite facilities, industrial buildings, initial civil works and pipe rack erection.

Agip KCO acts on behalf of a consortium of international companies including Eni, KazMunaiGaz, ExxonMobil, Shell, Total, ConocoPhillips and Inpex.
