Purneftegaz eyes Vankor oil plans

Pipe plans: Purneftegaz general director Eduard Tropin is looking to start work on a pipeline to export Vankor crude

A West Siberian subsidiary of Rosneft is to begin building work in the third quarter on the key oil pipeline that will enable the commercial development of the Vankor oilfield in the Krasnoyarsk region.

Eduard Tropin, general director of the subsidiary, Purneftegaz, said the pipeline will run about 570 kilometres between Purneftegaz’s oilfield facilities and the Vankor field.

Once the Vankor oil reaches Purneftegaz, it can be fed into state-owned pipeline operator Transneft’s trunkline network and sent to destinations inside Russia and for export.
