Elixir started a farmout process over the 534,185 hectare permit in December 2011 focusing mainly on the prospect’s unconventional resource play, the company said in an announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange.
While the farmout process had been well supported, the company said France’s prohibition on the hydraulic fracturing of wells had created a challenge for potential partners in assessing the project.
