The shallow water US Gulf-focused outfit has expanded itsstaff base by two-thirds over the past 18 months on the back of increasedoutput.
Chief executive Gary Hannsa said the switch to Houston was "primarilygrowth-focused and a natural transition for the company", which alreadyhas some staff in the oil capital.
"The deep pool of geoscience and engineering talentaccessible to us in Houston will enable EPL to augment our teams as we continueto grow,” he said, adding that the base would also give “direct access toenergy-focused banks and business partners”.
