Land within the 8000 hectare ANSIA, located about 12 kilometres south west of Onslow, has already been allocated for investigation purposes to Chevron for its Wheatstone LNG project and to ExxonMobil and BHP Billiton for the Scarborough LNG project and for the latter’s Domestic Gas project.
The 100 hectare General Industrial Areas (GIA) being developed within ANSIA will accommodate support businesses for the project’s new port and heavy industry area for liquefied natural gas and hydrocarbon processing, Lands Minister Brendon Grylls said.
