The contract, awarded by Japanese joint venture Modec and Toyo Offshore Production Systems (MTOPS), will be carried out at the company’s BrasFels yard at Angra dos Reis, in Rio de Janeiro.

Keppel Fels Brasil expects to start work on the project in the fourth quarter of this year, with the project due for completion by the second quarter of 2014.

Work to be conducted includes fabrication of the helideck, flare tower, risers, manifolds, waste heat recovery units, sulphate removal unit, water injection unit and integration, said Keppel Fels Brasil, a subsidiary of Singaporean shipbuilder Keppel.
