According to multiple sources, the state-controlled giant could issue as soon as September or October invitations to bid for the charter of an FPSO to begin output from the Tartaruga Verde field in the Campos basin in mid-2017.

Petrobras is said to have started preliminary talks with a number of contractors before it launches the tender.

The tender will follow the same rules of recent charter jobs, with Petrobras demanding that Brazilian engineering companies must team up with an international floater specialist to participate in the competition.
