Italy’s engineering and construction giant Saipem has signed an agreement with Sweden’s Stockholm Exergi, for a large-scale carbon dioxide capture plant to be installed at the latter’s existing bio-cogeneration plant located in Stockholm.
Saipem on Wednesday confirmed it has signed a letter of intent (LoI) with the Swedish player with its workscope “covering the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities for the carbon capture unit, the CO2 storage as well as the ship loading systems for CO2 transportation”.
