Thailand’s national upstream company PTTEP has donated more equipment to help protect the kingdom’s medical staff as they continue to battle the coronavirus.

PTTEP’s chief executive Phongsthorn Thavisin presented negative pressure transfer beds and wheelchairs to the Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok.

The company said the innovative equipment can protect medical personnel from the risk of contracting infections when transferring Covid-19 patients.

Thailand in late April imposed tighter restrictions and curbs in some provinces plus the capital Bangkok as Covid-19 cases surged.

PTTEP in 2020 also donated negative pressure transfer beds and mobile boxes to the Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University, which were distributed to other hospitals across the country.
