India’s Vedanta has cut production from its prolific Rajasthan block by up to 15%, as it faces a drop in demand and force majeure notices following a 21-day nation-wide lockdown imposed by the government.

Ajay Kumar Dixit, chief executive of Vedanta subsidiary Cairn Oil & Gas, told Upstream that oil and gas production from Rajasthan has dropped as “some customers have imposed a force majeure”, while some others are taking crude “at reduced rates due to demand issues and maintenance activities".
