CGG, a large supplier of seismic data to the oil and gas industry, has signed a strategic agreement with dCarbonX to support subsurface assessment of the latter’s operated clean energy projects offshore Ireland and the UK.

Relative newcomer dCarbonX was founded by former Tullow Oil and Providence Resources executives.

The two companies will work together to identify and de-risk subsurface sequestration and storage involving carbon dioxide, hydrogen and ammonia, as well as for geothermal energy sites.
