Chinese offshore construction yard CIMC Raffles has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with French floating wind technology outfit Dolfines to develop projects off Europe and Asia using the latter’s TrussFloat concept.

Under the MoU, CIMC Raffles will mass produce Dolfines’ semi-submersible design from one of its has three shipyards in China currently building large floating and jack-up platforms for the oil and gas industry.

“Dolfines has developed a light and passive semi-submersible platform for a large spectrum of floating wind applications.
