Environmental protestors brought parts the UK’s busiest motorway to a standstill this week, for the second time in three days, leading to 37 arrests.

Almost 90 activists from Insulate Britain — who are demanding better insulation for UK homes — blocked sections of the M25 on Wednesday.

Protestors from the group, an offshoot of Extinction Rebellion, sat on the road at Junction 23, for South Mimms in Hertfordshire, and the main carriageway from Junction 8 at Reigate to Junction 9 at Leatherhead, in Surrey, causing enormous traffic tailbacks.
