A year ago, US Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm issued a challenge to the energy industry.
Just a couple of weeks after Russia invaded Ukraine and Europe worked to wean off Russian fossil fuels, Granholm urged the energy industry to increase production to meet the immediate demand.
And the industry delivered, Granholm said.
“Europe is poised to reach the spring without major outages or shortages, and that’s thanks in no small part to many in this room who have been producing and exporting,” Granholm said at this year’s CERAWeek by S&P Global.
