UK developer Lightsource BP, the renewable energy partner of supermajor BP, has closed a $250 million financing package for a major solar photovoltaic project in the US.
Lightsource BP and new project investors will fund so-called Impact Solar project that will have a capacity of 260 megawatts and will be located in Lamar County, in Texas.
The senior debt facility for the project was provided by HSBC in the US and UK’s National Westminster Bank (NatWest). Tax equity financing was secured from Bank of America.
