Australia is ready to fast track commercial scale renewable hydrogen projects, according to the nation’s renewable energy agency.
The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (Arena) claimed Friday there were several projects, worth more than a combined A$3 billion (US$2.1 billion), vying to be the nation’s first commercial scale hydrogen project.
Arena confirmed it had received 36 expressions of interest for the initial application stage of its A$70 million Renewable Hydrogen Deployment Funding Round, which was launched in April.
