Indonesia’s Pertamina and French industrial gas company Air Liquide have signed a memorandum of understanding to study low-carbon technology.

The objective is to explore solutions that could help support the state-owned oil company decarbonise its operations in Indonesia.

Air Liquide believes this partnership will contribute to Indonesia’s efforts to decarbonise and meet its net-zero ambition by 2060.

Under the framework of the MoU, Air Liquide Indonesia and Pertamina will perform joint research to explore the possibility of a long-term partnership allowing Pertamina to decarbonise its activities.
