Trinidad & Tobago is promising to do more to preserve a role for its natural gas during the energy transition as industry leaders urge vigilance in the quest to remain competitive.

Shell’s vice president for strategy and portfolio Edward Daniels was among the speakers at the recent T&T Energy Conference who defended a role for LNG in the energy transition, whether replacing dirtier fuels in key sectors and regions, addressing renewable energy intermittency, or supplying “hard to abate” sectors, such as cement or shipping.
