Australian explorer Invictus Energy has signed a ground-breaking deal to develop what is claimed to be the “world’s first cradle-to-grave carbon neutral oil and gas project”, based on Scope 1 and 2 emissions from the company’s planned Cabora Bassa project in Zimbabwe.

The Australia-listed junior has entered into a 30-year contract with the Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe (FCZ) for the development of the Ngamo-Gwayi-Sikumi REDD+ project and is able to extend this arrangement by another three decades to 2082.
