AJS secures Dutch contract extension

A joint venture between UK company Amec, US player Jacobs Engineering and Stork Engineering of the Netherlands has been granted an extension on a contract in the Dutch sector of the North Sea.

Amec revealed the joint venture, knownas AJS, had secured a five-year contract extension for an integratedservices contract with Shell OneGas, acombined business unit of Shell and Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij(Nam).

Thecontract also carries a further five-year option period.

Itcovers all of OneGas's 54 offshore assets in the Southern North Sea,along with Shell's Bacton gas plant in the UK and the Nam-operatedDen Helder gas plant in the Netherlands.
