Michael Koch, at present Chevron's Houston-based general manager of corporate business strategy development, will take on the president title for the company's Argentina unit in Buenos Aires as of 15 February.
Koch joined Chevron in 1978 and has since worked for the company in Denmark, England, Nigeria, Kazakhstan and multipleUS locations.
"This appointment is aligned with Chevron’s commitment tocontinue developing its operations in Argentina," the company said in a statement.
