The Sandakan-based services company said that its Thaumus Marine unit had been hired by a group of Mexican service companies who have signed a gas compression service contract with the Mexican state player.
Construction work is to start immediately and is expected to complete in the first half of 2015, Coastal Contracts said.
The unit comes with an eight-year charter contract, due to start by the second half of next year, that is extendable by up to 12 years.
