Upstream previously reported that the unit currently under construction in Singapore will drill an appraisal well for the US supermajor on its Ca Voi Xanh discovery in Block 118 off central Vietnam.
Diamond's contract will cover 75 days between the fourth quarter of 2014 and first quarter of 2015 at a dayrate of $485,000, the rig contractor said in its latest fleet status report.
