The rig owner has inked the deal for a single KFels B-Class jack-up worth $218 million, Keppel said on Thursday.
Delivery is set for the third quarter of 2015, and the unit will be the third jack-up ordered by UMW at Keppel.
The rig will be able to operate in water depths of up to 400 feet, and to drill to a depth of up to 30,000 feet.
