Equatorial Guinea’s top energy official has confirmed that a floating liquefied natural gas vessel is being eyed for the long-dormant deep-water Fortuna asset, located west of Bioko Island.

Upstream reported three months ago that New York-listed players Golar LNG and New Fortress Energy had teamed up to provide an FLNG vessel for the Fortuna complex in Block R, which hosts about 2.6 trillion cubic feet of resources.
