China’s CNOOC International is due to take a final investment decision on its Kingfisher oil project in Uganda within days, opening the way for four contracts worth about $460 million to be awarded.
Two sources close to the project told Upstream that CNOOC International will sanction the 40,000 barrels per day scheme this month.
“The [final investment decision] will be made in one or two weeks’ time,” said one project watcher.
