Indian drilling contractor SacAnb Offshore is in talks with Petrobras to secure an extension for the delivery of the cylindrically shaped semi-submersible rig Sevan Developer for work offshore Brazil.

On February, SacAnb was awarded a three-year contract for the semisub Sevan Developer after proposing a dayrate of $139,360 and a mobilisation fee of $7.9 million from China to Brazil.

Under the contractual terms, SacAnb was supposed to deliver the rig to Petrobras by late August, but the unit remains docked at Cosco Shipping’s Qidong shipyard to this date.
