A clearer picture is emerging of the results of a fierce competition for the engineering, procurement and construction contracts to supply two giant floating production, storage and offloading vessels for the Petrobras-operated Atapu and Sepia fields in Brazil’s Campos basin.

Asian contracting sources told Upstream that Petrobras has proceeded to the final stage of a clarification exercise with Singapore’s Seatrium and China’s Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC), the sole bidders in the EPC contract contest that wrapped up at the end of last month.
