Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has kicked off the chase for a leased mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) for its Marginal Field (MF-1) development, off the country’s west coast.

Two people familiar with the development told Upstream that the Indian state giant has initiated the hunt for the MOPU, with the vessel likely to be operational by early 2024.

“ONGC has floated expressions of interest for the MOPU project, with offers likely to be submitted by end of February,” one source said.
