India’s Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has recovered an offshore jacket stranded at PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) shipyard after Malaysia’s Sapura Energy battled unsuccessfully to secure its release due to claims for outstanding payments.
The much-delayed living quarters jacket, which is destined for ONGC’s flagship KG-DWN-98/2 deep-water oil and gas project off India’s eastern coast, was released by subcontractor PTSC after India’s state-controlled giant intervened to cover overdue payments, several well-informed sources told Upstream.
