India’s state-controlled Oil & Natural Gas Corporation is preparing to launch the bid process for developing its Cluster X offshore field off the west coast.

The Indian oil giant has sought expressions of interest from leading engineering consultants for potential pre-front end engineering and design and FEED studies for the flagship development.

ONGC’s Mumbai High offshore unit has been drawing up a conceptual plan for the field’s fast-track development centred on a mobile offshore production unit (MOPU), three new wellhead platforms and one existing platform, two people familiar with the project told Upstream.
