Petrobras has launched a tender to contract a new seismic programme covering a pair of producing fields in the Campos basin offshore Brazil.

The Brazilian state-controlled oil company wants a proprietary 4D streamer survey carried out over its Barracuda-Caratinga field.

Industry sources said Petrobras invited numerous seismic players to submit commercial offers on 8 August.

The 4D seismic survey will stretch over an area of approximately 856 square kilometres, in water depths ranging from 500 to 2500 metres, and is expected to last 250 days.
