Petrobras has issued a fresh tender aimed at contracting up to four drilling rigs, as the Brazilian state-controlled oil giant continues to replenish its fleet in an effort to try to secure long-term deals in a heated market with rising dayrates.
The new bidding opportunity takes place as Petrobras chartered a total of seven rigs late last year for a combined cost of more than $3 billion with Transocean, Diamond Offshore, Ocyan and Constellation Oil Services for work offshore Brazil.
