Brazilian oil giant Petrobras is making final preparations to issue simultaneous tenders for the charter of two floating production, storage and offloading vessels destined for the deep-water section of the Sergipe-Alagoas basin, known as SEAP.
Petrobras earlier this year tried to contract the first of two FPSOs for the region under a build-operate-transfer (BOT) format but a single commercial proposal, submitted by Brazilian player Ocyan, was disqualified as the price offered surpassed the operator’s internal budget.
Petrobras has already released general technical descriptions on its online vendors’ channels and is approaching the market for a series of clarification meetings.
