Brazilian independent Prio expects to select by the end of the month the winning bidder in a tender to contract the subsea solution for the joint development of its Frade field and Wahoo pre-salt accumulation in the deep waters of the Campos basin offshore Brazil.

Prio, formerly known as PetroRio before a name change and brand reconfiguration, is in final negotiations with suppliers as it seeks to award a key contract, said to be worth between $250 million and $500 million, for the subsea workscope of the Wahoo-Frade tie-back.
