Thailand’s PTTEP is looking to drum up contractor interest in the onshore processing facilities for its large Lang Lebah offshore gas project in Malaysia, and is working in parallel on a carbon capture solution and an exploration drilling plan.

Lang Lebah in Block SK410B offshore Sarawak is a significant field with multi-trillion cubic feet of gas reserves albeit in a complex high carbon dioxide setting.

Appraisal drilling in early 2021 has shown the shallow-water field could produce well in excess of the pre-appraisal estimated rates of between 300 million and 500 million cubic feet per day.
