Four leading international engineering, procurement and construction players are set to battle for a prized offshore contract soon to be on offer from state-owned QatarEnergy, covering the further development of its Idd El-Shargi North Dome (ISND) oilfield in the Persian Gulf.
Two sources familiar with the development told Upstream that the Qatari operator had issued expressions of interest for the offshore project in September and is expected to issue tender documents soon.
“The EoI process has concluded and pre-qualified players could be issued tenders within days,” one source said.
