Seven floater specialist companies are gearing up to participate in a Petrobras tender aimed at contracting the first floating production, storage and offloading vessel to be deployed in the deep-water section of the Sergipe-Alagoas basin offshore Brazil.

Petrobras is due to welcome commercial bids on 7 December for an FPSO with processing capacity of 120,000 barrels per day of oil and 10 million cubic metres per day of natural gas.

The P-81 will be the first FPSO contracted by Petrobras under the build-operate-transfer (BOT) format in more than a decade.
