The government of Barbados has pushed back the official launch of the country’s upcoming licensing round for a second time.
Barbados is now set to open the bid round during the first quarter of 2023. The previous date was early December.
“Based on the fact that several companies have requested additional time to evaluate acreage and data, the government of Barbados has made the difficult decision to postpone the licensing round for this short period to satisfy those requests,” read a notice in the country’s Energy and Business Ministry.
