Chariot Oil & Gas has gained a significant resource boost on its Lixus licence off Morocco to underpin a commercial development of the Anchois gas discovery and satellite prospects.

Five additional prospects in the licence are now estimated to hold more than 1.2 trillion cubic feet of prospective resources, according to a new third-party assessment by Netherland Sewell & Associates.

The Anchois find and five other satellite prospects were previously estimated to hold total recoverable resources of 1 Tcf and London-listed Chariot said it now believes the licence contains more than 2 Tcf with the latest resource upgrade.
