US-incorporated Epsilon Development has reported a second successful exploration well in the Bokhoriston gas field in Uzbekistan, which it discovered in August last year.

The well, in its operated Mubareksky block, penetrated the payzone at a depth of about 2500 metres, similar to the first exploration well.

Epsilon is working with Schlumberger to assess flow test results at the second well and update the reserve assessment of the deposit.

Since the discovery of the Bokhoriston field, the company has put the first well on production, tying it in to the existing pipeline infrastructure to deliver gas to regional customers.
